Site analysis is the first step to develop an understanding of the site -its context, topography, existing vegetation, indigenous species, opportunities and constraints.
Concept options are based on the site itself and client requirements. In collaboration with the design team, hand drawn sketch plans and details are developed which present a range of options for the site.
Preferred concept option incorporates client and council feedback and is generally a combination of various elements presented in the draft options.
Design development may be required on larger projects. This is the bridge between concept and documentation. This phase is a more detailed consideration of elements such as fine grading, materials and maintenance access.
Documentation includes plans, details, specification, an opinion of probable cost and contract documents for tendering and / or construction.
Contract administration includes tender assessment and on site supervision of the works at key stages. Liaison between the client, the appointed contractor/s and council is a key role.
